City of Lakes

Udaipur, Rajasthan aka “City of Lakes”, “City of Romance”, and “Venice of the East”.

Here are some photos from a boat ride (bargained hard to get the boat to ourselves for only $8!) we took around Lake Pichola, in the center of Udaipur city.

There are also photos from Kumbhalgarh, a 15th century fortress and surrounding temples, and Ranakpur, a marble temple thought to be the most spectacular of all Jain temples.
